The Butchers Arms

A lovely old half-timbered pub in gorgeous countryside 8 miles southeast of Hereford and a few miles from Ledbury, Ross and Malvern. The M50, A449, A49 and A417 are all fairly close by.

Stephen was the originator of that pub classic, the twice-baked soufflé, to be found on our menu alongside Goodrich Longhorn beef, Chepstow ducks, Kentchurch venison, fish from Cornish inshore boats, and fruit and veg from nearby farms and gardens.

The Butchers offers local cask beers, ciders and perry, and a punchy wine list with 10 bottles by the glass and carafe. Open fires warm the low-ceilinged bars in winter, and the stream would cool the garden if we had a summer.

We have a separate dining room seating 25, ideal for Christmas or shooting parties, small functions and business meetings.

The Butchers Arms has just been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2010 Michelin Guide - one of only 131 places in the UK. The Bib Gourmand is awarded for 'good food at moderate prices'.
