Working alongside Phil in the kitchen are (right to left) Sophie, Storm and Owen John.
Sophie lives locally and has worked with Phil since he took over the pub. She studied at Hereford Catering College, and takes the lead on desserts.
Storm joined the team in 2016 and is an apprentice at the pub whilst studying catering at Hereford College.
Owen John is Phil’s grandson, and works part time whilst studying for his A levels. A chip off the old Butchers block you might say!
Head Chef & Patron - Phil Vincent
Head Chef and patron Phil has over forty years experience in the catering industry, training under Chef Don Knight of the Savoy Hotel.
Before coming to The Butchers Arms, he was the landlord of two other pubs with a reputation for good food, winning the accolade of Village Pub of the Year in 2003 with Dykes End at Reach in Cambridgeshire.
It is his passion for fresh, local and seasonal produce that inspires the menu, mixing retro / old school dishes with modern and experimental cooking.
