Taking inspiration from the changing seasons and the incredible pantry of fresh, local produce in Herefordshire, our menu includes some classic dishes, plus a twist or two on some old favourites. And we love cooking with fish, shellfish and game in season.
The menu also features dishes inspired by our travels and, reflecting on the rich food heritage of The Butchers Arms, you may see some recipes from past landlords appear on the specials board.
Our stock based sauces are gluten free, and we pride ourselves that many of our dishes can be adapted to cater for special diets. If you have any specific requirements, we’d be pleased to discuss them with you.
We are passionate about buying local, and our menu changes reflecting what is available from our local suppliers. Buying local means fresher produce, with our duck and quail eggs coming from right outside the pub kitchen door.
We are proud to buy our Lamb and Pork from Woolhope, as we do Rabbit, Pigeon and other game in season. We serve fish from the sustainable fish list, brought to us fresh by New Wave Seafood, who are approved by the Marine Stewardship Council.
On the pumps behind the bar are real ales and ciders, sourced locally from around Herefordshire.
