Real ales and ciders from Herefordshire

The hop fields and orchards that dot the local countryside bear testament to the county’s rich tradition of brewing and cider making, and in the cosy bar at the Butchers Arms you can enjoy some of the best real ales and ciders that Herefordshire has to offer.

Recognised by Camra in the Good Beer Guide and Cask Marque approved for the quality of our ales, we have Wye Valley Bitter and the unsurpassable Butty Bach as regulars, plus a refreshing golden beer from Ledbury Real Ales. We also have guest ales throughout the year to delight and surprise you!

Our ciders are even closer to home with Mortimer’s Orchard, a fresh medium dry cider, coming from just over the hill from Westons in Much Marcle, and Tumpy Ground being pressed down the road at Dragon Orchard in Putley.

We also have a pint of the black stuff from across the Irish Sea for those that like a Guinness on match days….or whenever the urge takes you. Slainte!  

Fine wines from around the world

Our wines have been carefully selected from around the world to offer a broad range of styles and are perfect partners to the dishes on our menu.

They  include the classics, such as a refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and an intensely fruity Malbec, but also something a bit different such as the Languedocs Picpoul de Pinet. A Moscatel is the perfect complement to one of our Desserts.

If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, or maybe just fancy some bubbles, we have a range of sparkling wine and champagne including the iconic Dom Perignon.

Whatever your preference we are certain to have a wine to match, with a selection offered by the glass and others by the bottle.
